Bluegrass / americana band forming in staffordshire.
I'm looking for reliable local musicians to put together a focused acoustic bluegrass/Americana band for regular rehearsals, open mics, folk nights, pub gigs and eventually paid local events.
Looking for:
* Banjo
* Mandolin
* Fiddle
* Upright bass or acoustic bass
* Guitar / harmony vocals also welcome
Influences: Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, The Stanley Brothers, Alison Krauss, Old Crow Medicine Show, Billy Strings, The Dead South, and traditional old-time/Appalachian material.
Plan: start with standards, build a tight 30-45 minute set, rehearse weekly or fortnightly, then play around Staffordshire, Cheshire and the West Midlands.
Ideally suited to intermediate+ players who can learn songs between rehearsals, keep solid time, take tasteful breaks, and work collaboratively. Good feel and reliability matter more than flash playing.
Reply with:
* Instrument(s)
* Location
* Availability
* Vocal/harmony ability, if any
* A clip, if you have one
* 3 bluegrass, folk, country or Americana songs you already know
